The new legend of zelda game is only half finished according to Shigeru Miyamoto so any reports that you have heard or read of an early 2011 release have been dashed.
Miyamoto now backs a non-specific 2011 release, according to Pocket-lint's interview with him.
The legend of zelda skyward sword will use motion plus controls and apparently use the whole of the Wii proccesing power-Twighlight princess was originaly a Gamecube game adapted to fit in with the Wii's release back in 2006.
Shigeru Miyamoto remains enthusiastic that Wii is as potent today as in 2006, however - even faced with stiff competition from new technologies Kinect and PlayStation Move.
"I don't think the Wii is something that people need to graduate from," he argues.
"Of course, I am happy that motion is fashionable now. But when we make games, we are not trying to produce trendy products.
Fingers crossed they pull their fingers out and get it finished for next year as we are genuinley excited about this.
